NAGA CITY — For the first time ever, Naga City, an Maogmang Lugar, will host the 19th Miss Earth pageant this year. Over 50 confirmed candidates from across the world will descend upon the Pilgrim City of Naga, the Heart of Bicol, weeks before the pageant night on October 26 that will be held at the famed Big Dome of the South, the Jesse M. Robredo Coliseum.

On Wednesday morning, a memorandum of agreement was signed between the Miss Earth representatives, namely Provincial Board Member Carlo Batalla and Arch. Louie Domalaon of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) and Atty. Luisito Tongson, and the City Government of Naga headed by Mayor Nelson S. Legacion, City Councilors Sonny Rañola and Jose Perez. The MOA signing was held at the city’s City Events, Protocol and Public Information Office Main Lobby at the ground level of the Raul S. Roco Library.

Miss Vietnam Nguyễn Phương Khánh was crowned Miss Earth in 2018, the first vietnamese to win the title.
