NAGA CITY — Mayor Nelson Legacion issued a memorandum circular Tuesday on the suspension of classes and work in the city for the upcoming Peñafrancia Festivities starting this Friday, September 13.

Class Suspensions for all levels in all public and private schools within Naga City are as follows:

  • September 13 – Traslacion Procession
  • September 18 – Scouts Parade & DXMC Competition
  • September 19 – Civic Parade & Voyadores Festival
  • September 20 – Military Parade
  • September 23 – Post-Fiesta Day

Work in the City Government and all government offices and/or agencies within the jurisdiction of Naga City are suspended on the following dates:

  • September 13 – From 10:00am for the Traslacion Procession
  • September 19 – From 12:00pm for the Peñafrancia Voyadores Festival

The memorandum also states that the Friday preceding the Sunday of the Solemnity of Our Lady of Peñafrancia (that is September 20 where the Military Parade will be held) is a special non-working holiday in Naga City pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 654, Series of 2013
