NAGA CITY — Mayor Nelson Legacion confirms, via a Facebook live video on the late evening of April 21, 2020, that another person tested positive for COVID-19 in the city. This is after the Department of Health in the Bicol Region reported 3 more cases in the region. Among the new cases are the youngest and oldest cases to date.

Naga City’s 4th case, and the region’s 26th case, is a 17 year-old female resident of Naga City Subdivision in Barangay Triangulo, is the youngest case so far, the oldest is a 78 year-old man from Guinobatan, Albay.

She experienced symptoms last April 18, 2020 and was admitted at the Bicol Medical Center. She tested positive on April 21, 2020. Contact tracing and history of exposure is currently being established. Precautionary measures have been also placed over the immediate area, which includes Extreme Enhanced Community Quarantine or lockdown.

Along with Mayor Legacion announcement, was Bicol’s 23rd case, the 36 year-old female resident of Naga currently working in Albay, was tested negative for COVID-19 the same day. Close contacts of the person also tested negative.
