NAGA CITY — In a press conference held last August 26 at the Avenue Plaza Hotel, Naga City’s Vice Mayor Nelson Legacion stated he will still run for mayor in the upcoming 2019 elections. In one of the questions asked during the press conference, Legacion asked the group if there would be anyone willing to run for the said position also, to which everyone replied none, albeit rumors where current City Councilor Cecilia de Asis would be a strong contender for the mayoral race in 2019.

Legacion also clarified issues regarding the supposed “Trade Fair” along the sides of Plaza Rizal which occupies a portion of the road surrounding the said plaza which garnered mixed reactions from various sectors, there were violations committed by the organizer resulting to the permit granted to be revoked. In line with this, the city government also offered relocation areas for the stallholders should they wish to transfer.
