NAGA CITY — The Department of Health Region V’s Center for Health Development (CHD) published a total of 4,241 dengue cases reported and 40 deaths across the region for the period from January 1 to August 3, 2019.

Among the 6 provinces, Camarines Sur registered the highest with at least 1,706 reported cases and 17 deaths, with Sorsogon coming in second highest with 784 reported cases and 8 deaths. The province with the least reported cases and deaths is Camarines Norte with at least 144 reported cases and 2 deaths.

In a Facebook post through the Philippine Information Agency Region 5, it details the number of reported cases and deaths per city/municipality per province.

The cities with the highest number of dengue cases are Sorsogon City with at least 543 and 2 deaths, Naga City with at least 319 reported cases, and Legazpi City with at least 131 reported cases and 2 deaths.

The municipalities with the highest number of dengue cases are San Andres in Catanduanes with at least 300 and Daraga with at least 290 reported cases and 2 deaths.
