NAGA CITY — Mayor Nelson Legacion formally opens the new Sanitary Landfill located in Barangay San Isidro on Wednesday, August 14. Coinciding with the opening ceremonies of the new sanitary landfill facility, Mayor Legacion also formally closed the operations of the old Balatas dumpsite.
The 5,000 sqm. facility will now be the primary waste management facility for the city, and will now also process residual waste.
Mayor Legacion, in his message during the ceremony, stressed the city will strictly implement the “No Segragation, No Collection Policy” by the city. He also added that there will also be Materials Recovery Facilities (MRFs) to be put up on every barangay and commercial establishments in the city.
